ROVER II VENTILE JACKET

This is most definitely the go-to jacket if you are going to be out in some seriously bad weather for a long period of time, and the perfect choice if you want your jacket to last many years, making it good for you, and good for the environement.

It is made from a double layer of Ventile (meaning that the outer and the lining are both Ventile), providing extreme protection from wind and rain. It is also highly breathable and will outlast its manmade competitors by many years. The Rover really is the ultimate outdoor jacket – perfect for hillwalking, outdoor photography, birdwatching or general country pursuits when the weather is at it’s worst.

Ventile is a 100% cotton fabric, which was originally developed during World War II for fighter pilot suits due to its unique ability to repel wind and rain, yet at the same time being highly breathable and comfortable to wear. It is the world’s most effective, natural, all-weather cotton fabric that is grown sustainably, and is the best choice for durability, reliability and all-round performance. Being a natural fabric it becomes even softer and more comfortable as time goes by, making it a truly faithful friend.

Ventile is now produced with a PFC free Durable Water Repellency (DWR) finish, which is the first of it’s kind in the textile industry. The new finish contains 63% renewably sourced plant based content, making this fabric even better for the environment. Ventile has been working for many years on this solution, and is proud to have found a DWR replacement for PFCs that doesn’t compromise the quality of the fabric. We love it!
