Meet Our Ambassadors

We’re committed to designing and manufacturing high-quality garments – but to do that, we need help! Our commitment extends to rigorous testing of every new design, ensuring its excellence before it enters the market. We rely on our ambassadors, individuals who are deeply connected to the outdoors and possess invaluable insights into their gear requirements, to aid us in this process.Below you can read more about our ambassadors and their links to the outdoors!

Adrian Trendall

“I live on the Isle of Skye with my wife, Bridgette, in Glen Brittle at the foot of the Cuillin mountains.

I work as a mountain guide and photographer solely in the Cuillin, with most of my work being within walking distance of our house. I joke that I’ve never had a proper real job and have always been very much centred around the mountains for many years.

My wife and I set up the Facebook group, All Things Cuillin, and it’s now approaching 16,000 members, mainly interested in the outdoors, walking, and climbing but with an increasing number of keen and professional photographers.

We try to post daily with regular gear and book reviews, accounts of my guiding and photography adventures, and Bridgette’s interaction with nature, flora, and fauna. I wrote the very well-received guidebook to the Cuillin Ridge for Cicerone Press, and I am working on another couple of books for them.”

Anna Danby

“I’m Anna, an adopted Scot at home in the Highlands. I love spending time in the mountains, whether I’m running, walking, rock climbing, wild swimming, or winter mountaineering.

After over 15 years working in science education and leadership, I qualified as a Summer & Winter Mountain Leader and set up Wild Roots Highland Guiding. Enabling me to share my passion for the mountains with others and help people discover more about our amazing landscapes. I offer guided walking, wild camping journeys, and mountain skills courses.

The ethos of Wild Roots is focused on landscape, nature connection, and well-being. My personal experience gives me a strong belief that close relationships with place are vital for our mental and physical health as well as the future of our planet. Such relationships are rooted in understanding as well as experience. My guiding includes both, combining a storied element with a physical challenge.

Although never focussed on summits they’re often an equal part of the experience. My hope is that through my journeys people will gain skills, confidence, and inspiration to fuel their own independent mountain adventures. ”

Gareth Farrow

“I’m Gareth, born and raised in Mid-Wales and I’ve been obsessed with the outdoors from a young age and quickly became an all-around adventurer. From caving and kayaking expeditions in India, to Alpinism and completing the Cullin ridge in a day – come rain or shine there’s always an adventure to be done.

I spend as much time away adventuring, exploring, and on expeditions as possible as well as giving back to the community as part of the Gloucestershire and South Wales Cave Rescue team.

Keela has always been my go-to brand since I joined Cave Rescue for its reliability and performance, and I believe in Keela for maintaining its ethics on sustainability while producing world-class gear.”
