The Genesis is yet another Keela product that’s not only packed full of features, but is great value and comes recommended by various Mountain Rescue Teams and Emergency Services. And on a purely aesthetic note, it also looks good and feels warm and snug in use. The Zetland 100 fabric is 100% waterproof, windproof and breathable and is very soft and comfy to the touch, and there are reinforcements at the shoulders and elbows. The fit allows plenty of room for movement and the very warm neck baffle and drawcord adjustable hem help to keep out draughts. We cant say a thing wrong about the Genesis which performed admirably in howling wind and rain and is excellent value.

Cutting edge technology is not commonly associated with a fleece; the Genesis however is not your typical fleece. The Innovation XL lining system has a hydrophilic film and high wicking properties to provide an inner sealed cocoon against the elements.
This award winning waterproof fleece has excellent breathability, with reinforced shoulders and action sleeves for durability and movement.
Waterproof & Fleece
Unusually for a fleece the Genesis is waterproof, which is ideal if you prefer a soft finish for your outer layer
The shoulders have additional reinforced patches to ensure continued durability in this high-wear area
The sleeves of the Genesis are articulated to give you increased ease of movement while out and about
- Condensation control
- Neck baffle
- Reinforced shoulders & elbows
- Zipped hip pockets
- Articulated sleeves
- Elasticated cuffs
- Shockcords with locks at hem
- Active fit
- Fully tape sealed
With a lovely soft handle fabric but crisp packet rattle from reinforced areas, this is water resistant (with taped seams), fully lined for warmth and windproof, making it great for changeable conditions. You get two small warm lined side pockets, but no chest pocket. Cuffs are elasticated but easily rolled up for ventilation, there’s a hem drawcord, neck cinch and the length and fit are perfect. In a line: Good value, great for winter sports.
I have to admit, I’d never heard of a waterproof fleece before reviewing this but have delighted in telling anyone who will listen about it. It’s a fleece like any other; warm, cosy and comforting, but it’s also waterproof.
