Designed specifically for the requirements of travel use, Stretch-tec incorporates Lycra yarns to provide superior stretch and comfort.

GROUGH - "THE SCUFFER TROUSERS FELT ROBUST AND WERE COMFORTABLE".

The fabric is medium thickness and blocked wind well, with the Keela trousers providing a good level of warmth on cool and cold days. The seat of the Scuffers, along with the knee area, are reinforced, the latter area being articulated to aid free movement when walking. There are also reinforced panels on the inside of the ankle area to protect from scuffing from boots or crampons.

The leg width is medium, but the ankles have zips running up the leg for a short length to help ease the trousers over boots or shoes. There is also a hook-and-loop tab that can be used to cinch the hem snug around the boot.

The Scuffer trousers felt robust and were comfortable, providing a good amount of protection from the element.

I have a pair of the original Scuffer trousers, and love their durability and water-resistant fabric. After a couple years of hiking, they’re still getting me up the hills and back – no matter the conditions. These Heritage Suffers are the updated version, still with the same excellent water resistance, durability, side ventilation and fit, but in Keela’s Heritage colours and with the reinforced panels on the knee and seat. I noticed the waistband has also been reinforced, and has soft fabric on the inside, stopping friction on long active days
